In addition to providing a channel for public access, Comcast offers training classes on how to produce a show. Once you have completed the classes, you will become a certified Comcast public access producer.

Certification grants you many benefits. One such benefit is use of Comcast's public access equipment, which includes the studio, editing, and portable equipment.

These classes are designed to teach you the basics of television production. In these classes you will learn how to put a production together from start to finish. You will also learn every aspect of a production, such as camera, audio, lighting, and more!

At the end of the class you will not only have the knowledge to put together a television production, you will put together an in-studio, 30 minute talk show format program with your fellow classmates which actually gets played on the air! There is also a written examination. Students who attend the classes, participate in the group project, and pass the written exam are then rewarded with certification.
